President
The president shall:
  • Be the European spokesperson for the ECET and the first point of contact for all communications.


  • Be unbiased, provide opportunities for the views and contributions for all countries to be voiced.
  • With the other board members establish and hold the aims and objectives of the ECET.


  • Provide a mechanism to deal with all concerns expressed by the members.


  • Delegate duties to board members. With the board members initiate working groups and appoint chairpersons for these.


  • Establish and maintain a communication system for the various countries within ECET via their representatives, establish communications with other professional bodies and industry on behalf of the ECET.


  • Be a person who is an independent nurse practitioner.


  • Will retain all relevant documents and communications relating to ECET and will act as co-signatory on all major documents for the association.


  • Chair all meetings of the ECET and in constitution with board members arrange date, time and venue of subsequent meetings.


  • Since the official language of the ECET is English, the president must be able to communicate in English.


  • Within this role, the president will act at all time in an ethical manner.


  • Submit an annual report of activities and progress of the ECET at the annual meeting of the representatives.
